ICT Skills Certification Program for Educators-Overview

The ICT Certification Program for Educators is designed to provide training and support for Abbotsford Educators who want to further develop their Information and Communication Technology Skills. Certificates are issued to reflect demonstrated skills and competencies.
There are 4 levels of certification being offered: Essential, Applied, Proficient, and Technology Leader
Teachers can qualify for a certificate by demonstrating examples of competency. (See the ICT Competencies List below).
Certification Training is being offered through a series of workshops and professional development opportunities. At this time, there is a series of after school workshops being offered to help teachers qualify for the Essential ICT Skills Certificate. More training opportunities are being planned.
An ICT Skills Certificate will be issued to any Abbotsford teacher who can show (by means of examples and demonstrations) that they qualify. An appointment to facilitate this can be made with one of the STaRT Education Staff.
