1. Toggling the Red/Read Flag: Command Minus Sign (-)

2. How to save attachments:
Click and Hold the attachment and then save where you want to keep the file. (Desktop or Documents are most common places)

3. Sort your email by clicking on the Title of the column.

4. Other shortcuts:
Command 1 = Open Mailbox
Command 0 = Go to Desktop
Command 2 = Open Contacts (Address Book)




5. How to add an internet email address to your Contacts Folder (Address Book):
Open the email from the person, click and hold their email address and choose Add to Contacts

6. How to create a Parents Email List:
Send home a letter asking parents to email you (provide your email address at school which is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   As the emails come to your inbox add them to a new Mail List.

Now when you want to email your parents, begin typing the name of the list in the To: Field and it will show up, ready for you to use.




7. Managing your email (deleting large files):
Sort your inbox by the size of the messages.
(Click on the Size Titlebar and scroll window to top)
You will see the largest sized emails on top of the list. Open each one, save the attachment (if you want to keep it) and then delete the message (Click on the 100211_93755_1.png)

8. How to save a group of emails to your computer.
Select the group of emails (Shift-Click the top and bottom email) and choose Summarize Selected from the Message menu.
On Mac's choose Print, but instead of printing to a printer, choose Save as PDF. This file will include all the emails selected and show them complete with all formating and images. On a Windows PC, Choose Save As from the File menu and save the file as a text file.
