Mobile Lab
- 15 iBook laptops
- wireless unit
- training and setup by a one of the STaRT Education Staff
- a Project Plan must be submitted and approved prior to receiving a Mobile Lab. Priority will be given to classrooms who do not have access to up-to-date technology at their school.

Photo Journaling (Comic Life)
Create beautiful photojournals, detailing field trips, class projects, etc. using Comic Life. Your students simply drag and drop your pictures into the Comic Life panes. Your students add captions and visual elements to create an engaging photojournal. Elementary to Secondary.
Research Project (Comic Life)
Students do a research project on a person or animal and import the picture into Comic Life. Through the use of speech bubbles the central character relays information in the first person so the student processes the information.
Elementary to Middle.
Multimedia Presentation
(Keynote or PowerPoint)
Presentations are a great classroom tool for students to demonstrate understanding. First they research a topic and then present the topic to their class using Keynote. They can also publish their presentation in a variety of ways such as a website, a recorded narration, or a video straight from Keynote.

Student Reading Assessments

Captures student reading performance via video and/or audio for assessment to create a video record of the studentâ™s learning progress.

Collaborative Writing
(Google Docs)
Students work in groups to peer edit each otherâ™s work using the powerful online Google Doc suite. This is a fantastic way to track a studentâ™s progress on a writing piece a revisions are automatically stored. Students also benefit greatly from the opportunity to peer edit each otherâ™s work.

Virtual Field Trips
(Google Earth)
Go to Paris without a single fundraiser! Your students can go on a virtual field trip anywhere in the world with Google Earth. No need for permission slips! They can also compare and contrast various cities throughout the world. Would integrate well with many Social Studies units.

Spreadsheet Mathematics
(Numbers or Excel)
Spreadsheets are powerful tools for teaching Math. Students can be taught graphing, data analysis, sequences and series, algebra, compound interest, and much more!
