Introduction to Microsoft Word

ICT Applied Skills 2.1
Microsoft Word 2008 is the latest version of Word for Macintosh. In this workshop you will learn to use some of the easy-to-use new features to create stunning brochures and newsletters. If you are new to Word, you will benefit from the "review tour" of the basic word processing elements common to most versions to Word on both Mac and Windows.

 Teachers will learn:

• how to create a basic document with lists, images, tables and other elements
• how to take control of how their document will look from "paragraphs to pictures"
• how to share Word files effectively
• where to find numerous examples of forms and templates for use in the classroom

This workshop is three hrs long and will take place as two, 1.5 hr classes.

This workshop is available as a "Workshop on Demand." Contact one of the Technology Helping Teachers to arrange to have this workshop delivered to your staff on site OR arrange to have a group of teachers take the workshop at the  CORE Training Lab (Google Maps).
