TLN Project Ideas

  1. Students develop reports in Social Studies and Science using desktop publishing.
  2. Students learn how to research the internet without plagiarizing.
  3. Students create Keynote Heritage books about their ancestry that include old photos that have been scanned and imported into their stack.
  4. Students create a Fairy Tale Newspaper where news-like are written and illustrated about Fairy Tale incidents.
  5. Primary students demonstrate knowledge of colour by creating pictures in KidPix about different colours.
  6. Primary students create a KidPix slide show about a story read in class.
  7. Students present Science, Social Studies and Language Arts reports using Keynote and PowerPoint.
  8. Students write and illustrate poetry using PowerPoint..
  9. Students create their own webpage about First Nations People- First Nations Legends, First Nations ABC Book.
  10. Students use the school digital camera to illustrate the class or school newspaper.
  11. Students use Digital video cameras and iMovie to create public service ads,commercials, and short films. Students use the digital still camera, scanner, and pictures from the internet to produce current event time line comparing events in their lives with world events.
    Students use iMovie to create television spots about environmental issues to be aired on local television.
  12. Students use iMovie to create original narrated book videos.
  13. Students use iMovie for digital storytelling.
  14. Students use Keynote or PowerPoint to create works of writing that are graphically and textually organized using technology.
  15. Students create a podcast about a curriculum area of their choice - Science experiment
  16. Students create their own interactive weblogs that are teacher monitored.
  17. Students use a web camera and iChat video/audio conferencing,and iWeb to share ideas, create and publish curriculum focused websites.
